Customer Experience
1. The deposit flag is on the Braintree or Eway gateway or can be set to display when the customer selects 'Pickup' in the Cart or during Checkout, depending on your site's set up Customer selects pickup, OR deposit option enabled for valid third party payment gateways.
2. The customer will be informed that they are required to pay a deposit of the order total. Upon order submission, only the deposit amount is charged.minimum or deposit amount the customer has to pay on order submission is calculated and displayed.
3. If the deposit payment is successful, the order is processed and the On order submission, the partial payment is processed. The customer will receive an order confirmation email , which includes the deposit paidwith the partial payment, the balance owing (and if the order is for pickup, the location).

Partial Payments/Deposit
1. Add/Edit the Checkout Deposit Payment Widget
If this widget has not already been added, you can add it to the Checkout template page. This This widget renders the Initial Payment Deposit panel to on the user during checkout page. It also contains settings you can configure for the deposit function. If this widget is not in the Checkout template, add it.
- In the CMS, navigate to Content → Pages & Templates → Checkout.
- Go to Click Edit for the Checkout template.
- Add the Checkout Deposit Payment widget. TIP - A good spot to add it just before above the Checkout Payments Options widget displays.
- To prevent the user customers from entering an amount amounts higher than the order totaltotals, toggle ON Max Value cannot exceeed Order Total Amount?
- Edit the text in the other fields as if required. See: Checkout Payments Options widget.
- Click Save.
2. Edit Orders Awaiting Payment page
To do this, go to the Order Confirmation Payment Info widget in the Order Confirmation Page template.
