Content Deploy is part of a Commerce Vision 's multisite website featuresfeature. It Category data can only be used in deployed with Online Category Maintenance mode. Requires 4.38+. |
Overview
For multisite control, deploying site CMS Administrator and Content Administrator roles can can publish category structures and details to destination sites. Note that users on these sites can add, edit or delete deployed category details.
Unlocked campaign
Locked campaign
specific online-maintained category data to valid linked sites. NOTE - This data is not lockable. Content managers of destination sites can always rollback your changes or make further edits.

- category tree structures (excluding products)
- category hierarchy of products
- category details
- category SEO details
- custom fields for categories

What can be locked?
A whole campaign
When a campaign is locked, users who are not Content Administrators/Administrators or are on deployed sites can view a campaign's details but cannot edit or delete it.
Deploy a Campaign
On the Campaigns page, click on the locked campaign to deploy it.
Hover over Options and select the Deploy option.
Step-by-step guide
1. Enable Category Deploy
- In the CMS, go to Settings → Settings → Feature Management → Content → Linked Sites.
- Ensure Linked Sites is enabled, then click Configure.
- In Deployment, toggle ON deploy for Category Maintenance.
- Click Save or Save & Exit.
2. Deploy category changes
This step assumes you have category data ready to deploy. Deployable data for a category are from Category Maintenance in Online mode.
To deploy category data:
- Go to E-commerce → Products & Categories → Category Maintenance.
- Do you want to deploy data from multiple categories or a single category?
- Multiple categories - click Deploy at the top right of the page.
- Single category - find the category, hover over its Options, then click Deploy.
Follow the steps in the Deploy modal,
- Select the data type to deploy.
- Select the Category to deploy.
- Click Next.
