Deploy Content is part of CV ecommerce's franchiser and multisite features. For implementation, contact Commerce Vision. All sits in the network must be on the same version (min. 2022.3).


CMS Administrators and Content Administrators on the deploying a source site can enable and disable the Deploy Content feature for different content types in the CMS . Enabling the feature will allow Administrators, Content Administrators and Content Managers to deploy content changes to destination sites. In Deploy Content settings, specific content type(s) can be enabled/disabled for deployment and sites chosen as destination sites.  and select target sites. They and any roles with deploy permission enabled can send content changes to one or more target sites. 


Step-by-step Guide

Enable and

Configure Deploy Content

To enable/disable Deploy Content:Deploy Content is enabled by Commerce Vision. Administrators can then select deployable content types and target sites.

  1. In the CMS, go to SettingsSettingsFeature Management ContentDeploy Content.
    Toggle ON/OFF Deploy Content
  2. When enabled, you will see the Configure button. If disabled, the 'Contact to Enable' button displays

  3. Click Configure.

  4. Toggle ON the to Enable to make a content type(s) that are to be deployable from this site. NOTE - An option that contains 'lock' allows the deployment of a A content type with 'locks', e.g., Article Locks, means content works with the Content Lock feature and a content item is deployed in locked page/object status. It cannot be edited on the target site unless unlocked by a source site administrator.

  5. To save your configurations, click Save.


3. Select Destination Sites

All CV ecommerce sites that are linked to your organisation under your Organisation ID are listed. For successful deployment, a valid destination site must be on the same version as your deploying the source site. If there are invalid sites have been selected, an alert message appears at the top of the page.

  1. Scroll On the Deploy Content Feature Settings page, scroll down to the Target Sites section. 

  2. All sites in your network organisation, including test sites, are listed. Sites on the same version as the deploying your (source) site are marked with tickImage Modified. Sites with on incompatible versions are marked with crossImage Modified.

  3. (Optional) If your organisation has many sites, you can use the filter to find look up all compatible or incompatible sites.  For compatible sites, select 'is true', then click Filter.
     

  4. To make a site a selectable target site during a deployment procedure, toggle ON Linked? Target Sites next to it.

    i. First use the filter (step 3) to display only compatible sites

    ii. Toggle ON the Toggle All button.

    NOTE - You can also To ensure all incompatible sites are disabled, you can use the filter to find display all incompatible sites, then toggle OFF Toggle All to make sure they are disabled. IMPORTANT - If Toggle All is enabled before using the filter, all sites will be selectable for during deployment. However, deployment the system will fail a deployment when a destination target site is incompatiblenot on the same version as the source site.  


  5. Save your settings.
