Restrict users to a single designated IP address.


The IP Restriction setting is used to restrict each user to a single designated IP address. 

Step-by-step guide

  1. Login to Customer Self Service as an administrator
  2. Depending on how your site is configured, you may have access to any of the the two User Maintenance pages, the older zUser.aspx  page or the alternative UserMaintenance.aspx page. Navigate to whichever one is available to you. 

  3. For the zUsers.aspx page, in the list of fields in the section below where you make the user record selection there should appear the setting 'Restricted IP Address'. 
  4. For the other user maintenance page, UserMaintenance.aspx where when you have searched / selected a user in the 'Search' tab and then choose to view /edit that user's details in the 'User' tab.
  5. With the user selected, click the 'Modify' button and enter the desired IP 4 address Administrator.
  6. Navigate to 'Accounts' --> 'User Maintenance'

  7. Search for the required user.
  8. Select the user via radio button.
  9. Click 'Modify'.
  10. In the field labelled 'Restricted IP Address'enter the desired IP v4 address (e.g. 162.3.367.25 then click 'Ok). 
  11. Click 'OK' to save. 


The next time the user attempts to login, they will only be granted access if their originating IP
