  1. Login as an Administrator.
  2. Navigate to 'Custom Catalogues' (CatalogueMaintenance.aspx).
  3. Search for the Catalogue by Code or Description.
  4. Select the Catalogue record via radio button.
  5. Click 'Configure Catalogue'. The advanced catalogue maintenance screen will load.
  6. Click on the Category to which products will be added.
  7. Click the 'Products' tab.
  8. Click the 'Import products...' button.
  9. Click the 'Download Product Import Template' link. A .csv file will open with the appropriate Headers and sample data. 
  10. Overwrite the sample data on the .csv file with actual products to be imported.
  11. Save the .csv file.
  12. Select an Import Method from the drop-down list:
    1. Append to list - items in the csv file will be added to any existing products in the category.
    2. Overwrite list - items in the csv file will overwrite any existing products in the category.
  13. Click 'Choose File' to browse to the saved .csv file containing products, or Download Product Import Template.  (WHY HEADER WHEN OTHER INSTRUCTIONS SAY NONE REQ'D?).
  14. Once the file is selected, the import will be performed. A success/failure message will be displayed.

 

To Add Products to a Custom Catalogue in bulk:

  1. Login as an Administrator.
  2. Navigate to 'Custom Catalogues' (CatalogueMaintenance.aspx).
  3. Search for the Catalogue by Code or Description.
  4. Select the Catalogue record via radio button.
  5. Click 'Configure Catalogue'. The advanced catalogue maintenance screen will load.
  6. Click the 'Import...' button (near the 'Save' button and 'Help' link).
  7. Click the 'Download Import Template' link. A .csv file will open with the appropriate Headers and sample data. 
  8. Overwrite the sample data on the .csv file with actual products and category structure to be imported.
  9. Save the .csv file.
  10. Select an Import Method from the drop-down list:
    1. Append to list - items in the csv file will be added to any existing products in the catalogue.
    2. Overwrite list - items in the csv file will overwrite any existing products in the catalogue.
  11. Click 'Choose File' to browse to the saved .csv file containing products , or click Download Product Import Templateand category structure.
  12. Once the file is selected, the import will be performed. A success/failure message will be displayed.
