This feature can be used to limit the number of failed log in login attempts, locking out the user for a certain period of time.

Step-by-step guide

To set - up login retry limits:

  1. Login as an administratorAdministrator.
  2. Navigate to the 'Settings' page (zSettings.aspx).
  3. Under the heading login heading Login retry limits and lockouts you will see a field  is the setting 'Login maximum retry count (default 3), the '. The number listed here is the number of times a user can key in an incorrect password before being locked out.
  4. To update the retry count, change edit the number in the box, then scroll to the bottom of the page and click the the 'Update' button.

The failed log in login attempts is are incremented each time, provided it is they are within the time period (in seconds) defined by the field specified in the setting 'Login maximum retry time' (default is 60 seconds).

If the user attempts the maximum number of login attempts within the specified time period, they will then be locked out for the time period (in seconds) indicated by the field specified in the setting 'Login failed login lockout time' (default is 30 seconds).
