This feature can be used to limit the number of failed log in attempts locking out the user for a certain period of time

Step-by-step guide

  1. Login to Customer Self Service as an administrator
  2. Navigate to the page zSettings.aspx
  3. Under the heading login retry limits and lockouts you will see a field Login maximum retry count (default 3), the number listed here is the number of times a user can key in an incorrect password.
  4. To update the retry count, change the number in the box then scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Update button

The failed log in attempts is incremented each time provided it is within the time period (in seconds) defined by the field Login maximum retry time (default 60 seconds)

If the user attempts the maximimum number of login attempts within the time period they will then be locked out for the time period (in seconds) indicated by the field Login failed login lockout time (default 30 seconds)
