How do I control what fields are searchable for a product?
Step-by-step guide
To mark a field against the product property as searchable
- Login as an Administrator
- Go to the "Dictionary"
- Enter "Product" in the Table Name
- Click "Define"
- Enter the name of the field in the Search For area
- Select Contains or Starts With
- Click "Search"
- Select the field required
- Click "Modify"
- Tick the Search Field checkbox
- Click OK
When marking fields that are searchable, be mindful of the total number of fields that are searchable and the content in the fields.
